One of the reasons I love homeschooling is because we can explore whatever topic happens to interest us. Today during reading we opened my daughters reading curriculum to find our story was about a boy who had moved to the Yukon and was traveling by sled to his uncle's home, who was a doctor. This got us talking about the tundra, Alaska, sled dogs and more so I requested a bunch of resources from my local library to help us explore this topic deeper and I am sharing them with you.
Who knows how deep we will go with this but I can assure a lot of learning will take place and I wouldn't be surprised to see "sled dog teams" made out of Legos.
